International Association of Universities: Mahatma Gandhi University has been listed in International Association of Universities (IAU). IAU, founded in 1950, is the UNESCO-based worldwide association of higher education institutions. It brings together institutions and organizations from some 120 countries for reflection and action on common concerns and collaborates with various international, regional and national bodies active in higher education.
MGU is acknowledged from NAB (National Accreditation Board) in the Republic of Ghana under the Law Act 2007 (Act 744). The National Accreditation Board is the body mandated by law to grant recognition to an agency or establishment providing specific services to Ghanaians to access tertiary academic or professional qualification for institutions outside India.

C4C is a campaign, a coalition, and a community that cares about climate change. The goal of C4C is to raise awareness about climate change issues around the world. With the help of our broad coalition of partners (including Mahatma Gandhi University), we are kick starting an interactive dialogue on climate change issues.
University Grants Commission- Sri Lanka: Mahatma Gandhi University is approved from University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka for providing it's programs in Sri Lanka as well. The University Grants Commission (UGC) is the apex body of the University System in Sri Lanka which was established on 22nd December ,1978 under the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978. The functions of the UGC are planning and coordination of university education, allocation of funds to Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs), maintenance of academic standards, regulation of the administration of HEIs and regulation of admission of students to HEIs.
The Board of Quality Standards certifies that Dr Rajan Chopra has been admitted as a fellow member of the Board of Quality Standards Permitted to use the Honours FBQS.

Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU): It is our great pleasure and privilege to announce that Mahatma Gandhi University has recently been listed in Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU). AAOU is a non-profit organization of higher learning institutions that are primarily concerned with education at a distance, namely, education in which the systematic teaching and the communication between student and teacher or institution take place mainly by a variety of media. AAOU was founded in 1987 by a number of open universities in the Asian region who realized the significant contribution of distance education in democratizing the provision of learning opportunities to mankind.
